To Create New Custom Cost Types and Categories
New types and categories for custom costs are created with the Types and Categories dialog box (Fig. 0-16). This dialog box is accessed with the Types and Categories command on the Tools menu.
A category is a subdivision of a type. To create a new type, you must also create at least one category for that type.
- On the Tools menu, point to System Administration and then click Types & Categories to open the Types and Categories dialog box.
- To create a new type, click the New button on the Types pane and enter a name for the new type in the highlighted box.
- To create a new category, select a cost type from the list in the Type pane, click the New button on the Categories pane, and then enter a name for the new category in the highlighted box.
- Click OK.
